Kampung Batu Malakasari
Infotainment at an abandoned quarry: Kampung Batu Malakasari
Once an abandoned small quarry in Padalarang, Kampung Batu Malakasari
has been built into a family-friendly play park around the landscape by its
founders, leaving the beauty of the natural scenery intact.
Take a canoe ride across a lake surrounded by jagged rocks – don’t
they remind you of the magnificence of the way natural landforms are made
through tectonic plate movements? Not big on Geography? Opt for a tour guide who
can illustrate to you the many wonders of nature, and allow the kids to gain
much knowledge and fun as well. In one of the games, you can get down and dirty
with the kids with farming and rearing animals, including chickens, cows, and
deer. Observe how even the smallest of organism plays an important role in
keeping the ecosystem balanced. It’s also a good chance to educate your kids on
Sudanese traditions, through traditional dances and games that emphasize the
importance of respecting the environment – which is often lacking nowadays. The
Kampung Batu Malakasari also comes with the Tectona Waterpark, which is
complete with swimming areas for children of all ages. Don’t worry, there are
lifeguards and paramedics on standby ensuring the safety of your kids.
