Apocalypse is buried deep in the Bay of Panaitan Island. Made
famous by some Californian surfers, it is a huge gaping barrel with what looks
to be a makeable section. This wave begins with a super steep drop into a nice
stand up barrel. The wave the hits the inside section and takes off. The barrel
becomes increasing difficult to make, even by the world's best. Like a lot of
iconic waves Apocalypse is very fickle and tide and wind sensitive.
Even if you don't surf it, it's definitely worth watching.
