Focus Group Discussion: Development of Destinations and Facilities West Java Tourism and Marketing Strategy Implementation

Regional Tourism Promotion Board (BPPD) of West Java province, held a focus group discussion on destination development and tourism facilities in West Java as well as the implementation of marketing strategies at the Grand Royal Panghegar Hotel, Tuesday (8/11).

Forum in the follow all elements related to tourism, including the chairman BPPD West Java province, chairman PHRI West Java province, chairman BPPD se western Java, the chairman of BPC IHRA se West Java, as well as the head of the department of tourism and culture of West Java province.

According to the chairman of West Java province BPPD Ir Cecep Rukmana MM, there are six basic elements that make up an attractive tourist destination. BPPD that as tourism promotion agency, in collaboration with the department of tourism and culture, has an important role in promoting tourist destinations.

"To form a region into a tourist destination, there are six elements that must be considered, namely Attractions, Public Private Amenities, Accesibility, Human Resources, Image and character, Price," he said.

According to six of these elements are interrelated. A tourist will certainly come katena there is an initial motivation to visit the destination. A tourist destination must be accessible by the visitors, through various channels of water either from land or air.

"A destination must be accessible from a variety of pathways, either through transportation of water, land and air, so that an object can be achieved easily," he added.

At the forum disampaiakan that foreign tourists coming to West Java is currently decreasing, therefore BPPD West Java province, will continue to do promotion. Either in the form of event or tourism exhibitions nationally and internationally.
