Museum of Asian-African Conference is one of the museum located in the city of Bandung is located in Jalan Asia Afrika No. 65. This museum is the memorabilia Asian-African Conference . The museum has a very close relationship with the Gedung Merdeka .Overall Gedung Merdeka has two main buildings, which first called Gedung Merdeka as the main venue, while residing beside the Merdeka Building is the Museum of the Asian African Conference as a memorabilia of the Asian-African Conference. The background of the construction of this museum is the desire of the leaders of the nations in Asia and Africa to know about Gedung Merdeka and surrounding places Asian-African Conference took place. This makes the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia , Prof. Dr. Mochtar Kusumaatmadja, SH, LL.M had the idea to build a museum. He proposed this idea at the forum committee meeting Commemoration 25 years old Asian-African Conference ( 1980 ), which was attended by Director General of Culture Prof. Dr. Haryati Soebadio as a representative of the Ministry of Education and Culture . Then the museum was inaugurated on 24 April 1980 to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the Asian-African Conference.
